About Multipool
Multipool is an onchain order book exchange under construction since 2023 that serves both crypto assets and tokenised real world assets. It sets out to reproduce centralised exchange functions, limit orders, quote requests, repo lending and auctions, entirely onchain without custodial matching.
Matching uses order pools: each price level has its own pool, and an incoming market order first checks whether the book can fill part of it at a better price before routing the rest to automated market maker pools, splicing both for the best overall result. The data layer uses segment and sum trees to handle order inserts and cancellations, keeping computation for large books manageable, while dynamic bracket pools adjust quotes to the current price and reduce manual intervention. Time-weighted auctions run every eight hours to give large and RWA trades a low-impact window, and Hacken audited the contracts.
Multipool matches orders on a fully on-chain order book and charges takers a 0.2% trading fee while makers pay nothing, with fees settled in the native token of the chain where the trade executes.
Multipool allocates up to 80% of trading fee revenue to MUL buybacks, spending half to purchase MUL on the open market and adding the other half, in the native token, to liquidity pools alongside the purchased MUL.
