Details

Milkomeda is a Layer 2 blockchain platform designed to bring Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) smart contract compatibility to non-EVM Layer 1 blockchains such as Cardano and Algorand. It achieves this through sidechains and rollup technology; for instance, its Cardano sidechain C1 uses MilkADA as the native token for gas fees. Developers can write smart contracts in Solidity and deploy them using Ethereum tools like MetaMask. The platform primarily serves the development and use of decentralized applications in DeFi and NFTs.
