About Metric

Metric is a decentralized exchange for real-world assets covering tokenized equities and commodities: it uses an automated market maker with prices from Chainlink data streams and liquidity that can shift within set ranges to handle price gaps when traditional markets open and close.

It targets the lack of continuous pricing for tokenized RWAs, where equities do not trade when markets are closed and a fixed curve would be arbitraged at the open. Movable ranges let makers reposition around events. The risk is admin power: public information shows operators can adjust pricing parameters, and if that authority is abused or keys leak, pools can be drained through anomalous quotes; the token supply trades thinly on the secondary market.

Metric was founded by former Uniswap team members and spent a year in stealth as a DEX aggregator, routing more than $5 billion across nine chains in the quarter to July 2026, about $2 billion of it in the final month.

On July 8, 2026 Metric opened wallet registration and mentioned early incentives, but disclosed no token economics, TGE date or airdrop rules, leaving whether it will issue a token unresolved.

On October 16, 2026 Metric launched its own DEX on Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain and Ethereum, supporting swaps, liquidity provision and permissionless pool deployment.

The venue anchors pricing to Chainlink Data Streams rather than pool state, combining Active Pools and propAMM to serve tokenized stocks, ETFs and commodities that already have real prices, targeting roughly 450x monthly turnover.

BNB Chain said the same day that users can trade and market-make bStocks through Metric; contracts are audited by Zellic and Sherlock, though its own risk documents concede a mispricing admin could drain pools.

Moving from aggregator to venue puts Metric against Uniswap, Curve and dedicated onchain equity pools; the edge will depend on quote latency, market-maker retention and RWA supply.

Metric launched its decentralized exchange in 2026, deploying on Robinhood Crypto and BNB Chain and adopting Chainlink Data Streams as its price oracle to provide live reference pricing for tokenized stocks, commodities and RWAs

Metric is building infrastructure that separates pricing from liquidity rather than another propAMM: Active Pools take a reference price from a Price Provider, and anyone can run a pool off external oracles or proprietary strategies while accepting outside LP capital, with propAMM just one use of the framework. That lets it serve assets priced off-chain - bStocks already account for about 85% of tokenized-equity DEX volume, and Binance Wallet routed $806 million through Metric in a single month. The larger opening is liquidation: if tokenized equities become DeFi collateral, lending markets need reliable liquidity to exit undercollateralized positions, a role oracle-anchored pools can fill, while composability with PancakeSwap and other BNB Chain protocols multiplies existing depth.

Christos Gkolias, Chief Technology Officer. He began his career as a software engineer at Google, then spent three and a half years at Uniswap Labs as a director of engineering responsible for trading contracts and protocol-layer engineering management, accumulating first-hand development experience with automated market maker mechanics. After leaving Uniswap Labs in 2026 he joined Metric to lead the construction of the Active Pools and propAMM infrastructure. He led design of the pool engine for tokenized stocks, gold and foreign exchange and other real-world assets.

Metric's notional fee is off by default and can be enabled for specific pools, with a maximum rate capped at 1% of trade volume.

Metric takes a default share of 7.5% of the total spread revenue, collected by the protocol.
