Mercle

Mercle is identity and reputation infrastructure for web3 communities built on Ethereum, letting protocols and DAOs mint user behaviour, on-chain and off-chain, into dynamic credentials: configurable ERC-721 NFTs that can switch between transferable and soulbound, used for gating, voting weight and reward distribution. The pain it targets is unverifiable community contribution: activity data is pulled from Discord, Snapshot and forum platforms, attested by issuers and written on-chain, and KPI-driven campaigns distribute rewards automatically against preset goals without manual list review.

The product is a no-code toolkit: DAOs layer reputation on existing governance frameworks, use credential weight in Snapshot votes and incentive allocation, and set their own issuance standards. Because the identity layer is self-issued, any protocol can run its own credential system, cross-community comparability depends on issuer standards, and unified identity resolution is left to other protocols. It sits closer to a community-interaction tooling layer, adopted by DAO governance and operations teams.
