About Matrix
Matrix AI Network is a network that combines artificial intelligence with blockchain, with product lines spanning several directions: NeuraMatrix focuses on merging brain-computer interfaces with blockchain, guaranteeing data security and user control for BCI devices and opening SDKs and tools for developers building BCI applications; Morpheus is its large language model and GPT platform; Intelligent Contract offers no-code AI tools that create smart contracts from natural language; MANTA is a distributed AutoML DePIN platform built on Matrix; MANAS is an AI service platform; and MANIA is an AI-powered NFT trading platform.
The ecosystem ships with a web wallet, a block explorer, the Wormhole bridge and a validator node system, plus developer documentation and an entry for becoming a validator. Network figures published by the project include a block height around 13 million, 110 validator nodes, about 191 million MAN staked and 37 million transactions.
On August 8, 2026 the new Matrix AI Network mainnet went live as the chain for biodata real-world assets, with the legacy chain closing at the end of September. Maximum supply rose from 1 billion to 2 billion MAN and is permanently capped, with 27% allocated directly to existing holders and node operators through a loyalty airdrop weighted by holding time, including exchange balances. Migration is 1:1: existing private keys, mnemonics and keystores generate EVM-format addresses on the new chain, so no new wallet is needed.
The new chain is an L2 design built on a Sequencer, validators and staking; proof-of-work mining retires and security moves to staked tokens. It is standard-EVM compatible so wallets such as MetaMask can connect directly, and every biodata upload permanently burns MAN at the protocol level. The upgrade runs in two stages: first the legacy chain's data format is upgraded and supply aligned to 2 billion, then the new mainnet launches and both chains run in parallel during migration.
Matrix's new supply unlocks over 24-36 months or on milestones, validators and multiple sequencers open progressively to the community, and the application layer expands around biodata consent, pricing and compliant settlement.
