Details

Luckycoin is a PoW cryptocurrency based on the Scrypt algorithm, launched in May 2013 by an anonymous developer named LuckyC, and served as the basis for creating Dogecoin. It employs Auxiliary Proof of Work (AuxPoW), allowing merged mining with other Scrypt coins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin to enhance network security. Its maximum supply is approximately 20 million coins, with issuance regulated through halvings every 100,000 blocks and random 'Lucky Blocks' (2x, 5x, or 58x rewards). The project was revived in 2024 from a 2013 backup at block 81,743, preserving its historical chain.
