About Linera

Linera published its whitepaper in December 2022, proposing a Layer1 architecture based on microchains to achieve linear scaling through parallel chains.

In September 2023, it launched the Developer School to nurture ecosystem developers.

In January 2024, the Devnet went live for developers to test the SDK.

In August 2026, it announced the token ticker as $LNRA and opened pre-registration for the community round (September 1-8).

Over the past six months (2026-03-13 to 2026-09-13), Linera's major developments centered on bridge architecture, SDK releases, and token sale.

  1. Bridge mechanism rearchitecture (merged into testnet_conway in 2026-04): the EVM<->Linera wrapped token bridge now auto-burns on Credit and mints only via verified EVM deposit proofs, removing the trusted-relayer burn step and decoupling deployment order; the Solidity contract reads BurnEvent from event streams.

  2. SDK v0.15.17 was released in 2026-04.

  3. The LNRA community round ended on 2026-09-09, raising only $848K against the $1.5M minimum, and funds were refunded. Earlier token economics: community reserve 60%, foundation 10%, investors 11.3%, early contributors 13.7%, community sale 5%.

Official roadmap: Testnet #4 will focus on governance chain, final tokenomics and fees, storage durability, and security audits. Mainnet and beyond plan account abstraction, fee masters, native bridges, block indexing/explorer, geographic shading, dynamic sharding and elasticity, and permissionless auditing protocol.
