Details

Ligero is a zero-knowledge proof system based on error-correcting codes, developed and open-sourced by Ligero Inc. Its core mechanism uses linear codes and Merkle trees to construct a succinct non-interactive argument (SNARK) that requires no trusted setup and is post-quantum secure. Ligero enables verifiable computation, privacy-preserving applications, and blockchain scaling, such as executing computations off-chain and generating proofs for efficient on-chain verification. Developers can use its Ligetron zkVM to write applications in high-level languages (e.g., Rust, C++) and generate proofs directly in the browser.
