About Logos

Logos is a modular privacy stack built from a runtime, a networking layer and three foundational modules for storage, messaging and blockchain, paired with Basecamp, a local-first launcher. Developers assemble it the way they would a Linux distribution, choosing which modules to run. The gap it addresses is that most on-chain applications leave privacy to the application layer while metadata keeps leaking underneath, and hosted services remain one point that can be subpoenaed or taken down.

On the networking layer a mixnet hides who talks to whom through layered Sphinx encryption, random delays and cover traffic, so even an observer watching the whole network cannot pair senders with receivers; RLN attaches a zero-knowledge rate-limit proof to each message, letting nodes verify quota without identifying the sender. Consensus is a private proof-of-stake design that conceals validator identities and stake, and the execution zone supports private state and private proofs. Testnet v0.1 shipped in March 2026, v0.2 followed in June, and sender-anonymous messaging over the mixnet with LIONESS payload encryption merged in July.

Logos released Testnet v0.2 in June 2026 and made sender-anonymous messaging over the Mix network usable and documented in July; v0.2.1 followed on August 5, and Testnet v0.3 shipped on September 30, adding proof-of-work onboarding (EmPoWering), decentralised sequencing for the LEZ, Storage downloads over Mix, Logos SQL and Channel Notes, plus Ethereum and Monero testnet wallets in Basecamp and Windows support. The Logos Mix Network specification was published the same month.

In September 2026 the Logos lambda Prize programme produced two LEZ applications, a private multisig and a private airdrop; the team said testnet content carries over to mainnet instead of being rebuilt.

On the Logos roadmap, mainnet is planned for 2027, with 47 local Circles worldwide; upcoming testnets will improve Mix download performance and anonymise file providers, while the LEZ adds async cross-zone messaging and a decentralised oracle network specification, alongside Zerokit 3.0 and post-quantum benchmarks.
