About Krypton
Krypton is a decentralized exchange in the Ethereum ecosystem that, unlike the mainstream AMM route, rebuilds the order book as a continuous batch auction: traders do not just quote a price but submit supply and demand schedules over trading speed, all trades in the same block are cleared as a single batch, and transaction reordering and sandwich-attack room are eliminated by design. The off-chain matching engine Krypton Compute runs complex computations on Chainlink's Decentralized Oracle Network (DON) with settlement returning on-chain, compressing hidden costs such as MEV and slippage; its academic prototype is the fully continuous exchange Fisher Black proposed in 1971.
It targets traders and market makers sensitive to execution quality, dividing pricing models with Uniswap-style AMMs: the former allocates volume continuously over time, the latter clears instantaneously along a curve. Note that it is not the same entity as the same-named new L1 project Krypton Network; its public page is now labeled an archived page maintained for historical reference only, trading activity and adoption remain limited, and the mechanism innovation never converted into sustained flow.
No new funding, launch or governance announcement was verifiable in 2026; the latest confirmable progress remains earlier, when Krypton closed a $7 million oversubscribed seed round led by Framework Ventures with Samsung Next, HashKey Capital, Finality Capital, Foresight Ventures, GSR and MEXC participating, and joined the Chainlink BUILD programme.
The Krypton exchange centres on continuous batch-auction matching to remove front-running, transaction reordering and sandwich attacks, using Avalanche subnets and the C-Chain for settlement. Its website sells on total cost of trading, disclosing platform fees, spread and deviation from the microprice together, in response to the roughly $34 billion a year US retail investors lose to poor execution.
Future strategy and roadmap: Krypton intends to make batch auctions an execution layer that wallets and brokers can call, pairing off-chain computation with on-chain settlement to cut costs, and to keep expanding its roster of market makers and liquidity providers; product cadence and any token plan have no published timetable.
