About Inco Network
Inco Network, founded in August 2023 by Remi Gai, is a confidentiality layer for Web3 built on Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). Rather than launching a standalone chain, Inco integrates as an encryption layer atop existing blockchains, enabling confidential smart contracts while remaining EVM-compatible and developer-friendly.
Key milestones: In 2024, Inco was selected for a16z's CSX accelerator (London cohort), gaining strategic backing. By spring 2025, it joined the CSX 04 cohort in San Francisco, receiving $500K in investment and access to a16z's network. In August 2026, Inco deployed on Base Sepolia testnet, marking its first public testnet, followed by a beta launch on Solana Devnet, expanding beyond EVM ecosystems. The project also released fhEVM, a Solidity-compatible library, and developer tools like FHE Hardhat templates, lowering the barrier for builders.
Long-term significance: Inco's FHE-based approach allows private transactions, confidential DeFi, and secure on-chain gaming without sacrificing composability. Its multi-chain strategy (Ethereum, Base, Solana) positions it as a universal privacy standard, while a16z backing signals institutional confidence in FHE as a scalable solution for blockchain privacy.
Remi Gai (Founder): Previously a venture-backed web3 founder, part of South Park Commons fellowship. Background in engineering at Google and Microsoft, founding member of Parallel Finance, and product management at a blockchain studio. Trilingual in English, French, and Mandarin.
Deep Gandhi (Core Contributor): Worked as an investment analyst at Venture Highway, associate consultant at Bain & Company, and investment team member at Hashed Emergent. Focused on early-stage crypto and gaming investments. Holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi.
