About Hyve
Hyve builds a data availability layer called HyveDA, which emerged from stealth in 2024 and targets rollups, DePIN, decentralised order books and AI inference. Rather than running its own consensus chain, it acts as a peer-to-peer transient object storage layer plugged into a customer's chosen consensus: each batch is anchored to Ethereum, Bitcoin or Solana so clients inherit that L1's finality instead of trusting a new validator set. Independent cluster DAGs, edge-first erasure coding and multi-level proving deliver redundancy without full replication.
Participants join as permissionless data availability committees, operators bond assets on Symbiotic and are slashable for misbehaviour, and storage fees are distributed onchain to operators and restakers. Throughput is benchmarked in the 1 GB per second range and scales horizontally by adding nodes. The commercial target is cloud storage budgets, turning object storage bills into a protocol fee stream where integrators secure the network with their own liquid staking tokens and share the yield. Security is delegated entirely to Symbiotic's restaked assets, and slashable depth varies with the asset chosen.
As of October 2026, the HyveDA network remains operational, but the team has not publicly disclosed major 2026 milestones or a new funding round; public information largely stays at the 2025 technology launch and ecosystem collaborations.
Future strategy and roadmap: Hyve will continue leveraging HyveDA's throughput and restaking-backed security to pursue integrations with the Rollup and modular stack; absent a new 2026 public roadmap, its direction remains focused on high-performance data-availability infrastructure.
