Guild is a token-gated community management platform. It lets communities define membership rules based on onchain criteria such as holding a specific token, owning an NFT, or meeting activity thresholds. Once set, Guild automatically assigns and revokes roles on Discord, Telegram, and the web as members' onchain status changes. Its core strength lies in combining community access control with growth tools like quests, while supporting 60+ EVM chains and multiple platforms. The main pain point it addresses is the manual overhead of verifying wallet holdings and syncing permissions across different apps. Guild solves this by making access reflect onchain reality in real time, reducing administrative burden and enabling fine-grained tiering. It also helps identify and reward key contributors based on measurable onchain metrics. In terms of recent developments, Guild Classic was officially shut down in November 2025, with the new platform inheriting historical user data and onchain footprints. A July 2026 review confirmed the platform remains the standard for onchain-based community access, while noting two risks: dependency on external platforms like Discord, and the permanent public link created between a wallet and social identity. No major negative incidents beyond these inherent platform risks were reported in the past six months.
