About Ground
Ground is an on-chain yield API infrastructure that helps fintech companies, neobanks, and asset managers connect their customers' idle stablecoin balances to DeFi lending protocols. Instead of building blockchain integrations from scratch, clients use a single API to route funds to protocols like Aave, Morpho, Maple, and Kamino across Ethereum, Solana, and Layer 2 networks.
Its core value proposition is institutional-grade access: it provides compliance tools, reporting infrastructure, liquidity management, and configurable risk parameters—features that typical crypto-native yield aggregators lack. This addresses the pain point where trillions of dollars sit idle in pre-funded accounts, digital bank wallets, or blockchain wallets, unable to generate yield due to technical and regulatory barriers.
In the past six months (March to September 2026), Ground launched its platform publicly in late June, expanded its protocol catalog to include structured credit products, and began onboarding clients in the wealth management and exchange sectors. The team has been focused on adding new yield sources and blockchain integrations based on client demand, while building out its compliance and reporting capabilities to meet institutional requirements. No major negative events were reported during this period.
Ground, the onchain yield infrastructure provider, made major strides in the past six months.
On June 24, 2026, it emerged from stealth with a $3.6M pre-seed round led by Bain Capital Crypto and ParaFi, with participation from Nascent, Robot Ventures, Chapter One, and Consonant Ventures. The company offers institutional-grade API infrastructure that lets banks, fintechs, and treasury platforms embed onchain asset management via one API, operations surface, and ledger-ready output.
On July 22, 2026, Ground expanded into Real World Assets (RWAs), integrating tokenization leaders Centrifuge and Superstate. Initial offerings include tokenized T-bill funds managed by Janus Henderson (JTRSY) and Invesco (USTB), the AAA CLO strategy (JAAA), and Bitwise's crypto basis strategy (USCC). Stephanie Vaughan, former COO of Veda and Seven Sevens, joined as COO to drive operations and institutional go-to-market.
Looking ahead, Ground's roadmap focuses on broadening from crypto-native yield to a full spectrum of onchain tokenized assets, ultimately enabling a complete onchain balance sheet. The platform aims to provide dynamic allocation, composability across yield sources, and strategy layering, all while maintaining familiar institutional controls, risk parameters, and audit trails.
