About GK8

GK8, a subsidiary of Galaxy (Nasdaq: GLXY), provides institutional-grade custody technology for digital assets. Its core offerings include the Impenetrable Vault, a self-custody solution that operates without internet connectivity to eliminate cyberattack vectors, and uMPC (Unlimited Multi-Party Computation), which enables multiple co-signers to approve transactions without exposing private keys. The company also offers a Tokenization Wizard for converting real-world assets into digital tokens.

The primary market pain point GK8 addresses is the security and trust gap that prevents traditional financial institutions from offering digital asset services. Banks and custodians face risks such as hacking, private key mismanagement, and regulatory compliance burdens. GK8's solutions aim to bridge this gap by providing offline storage, multi-party authorization, and compliance-friendly infrastructure, allowing institutions to manage digital assets with confidence.

In the past six months (February to August 2026), GK8 has continued to expand its institutional partnerships. Notably, in June 2025, GK8 partnered with Polymesh, a blockchain built for regulated assets, to provide custody and staking support for POLYX tokens. More recently, in August 2026, it was announced that Bank Leumi, Israel's largest bank, would leverage GK8's custody infrastructure (via Galaxy) to offer Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana trading to its customers, pending regulatory approval from the Bank of Israel. This development underscores GK8's role in enabling regulated banks to enter the digital asset space securely. No significant negative events were reported during this period.
