About GFO-X

GFO-X, the UK-regulated digital asset derivatives venue, has made significant strides in H1 2026. On July 7, 2026, the platform achieved record daily notional trading volume of $100 million, with open interest surpassing $80 million, reflecting growing institutional liquidity and adoption.

Strategically, GFO-X is expanding into Abu Dhabi after receiving In-Principle Approval from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of ADGM. This expansion, targeting a 2026 launch, will establish a Recognised Investment Exchange (RIE) and Recognised Clearing House (RCH), enabling 24/7 trading and clearing. The new entity will support both cash-settled and physically delivered derivatives, and broaden the product suite to include prediction markets, securities, and commodities.

Future roadmap focuses on enhancing collateral mobility by integrating digital assets as margin, and deepening liquidity through partnerships with major clearing houses like LCH DigitalAssetClear. The platform aims to bridge the gap between traditional finance and digital assets, offering regulated, centrally cleared volatility exposure to risk-aware institutional investors.
