About Flipcash

Flipcash is a digital payments app that lets users create and trade fixed-supply community currencies. In May 2026, it launched USDF, a dollar-pegged stablecoin on Solana, issued through Coinbase's custom stablecoin platform and backed 1:1 by USDC. USDF serves as the settlement and pricing layer for all community currencies within the app.

Its core value proposition is providing instant liquidity for community currencies. Each new community currency automatically creates a reserve pool via a bonding curve, allowing users to buy or sell directly from the reserve at transparent prices without waiting for an external market. USDF acts as a stable anchor, avoiding price volatility that would otherwise hinder payments.

The pain point it addresses: traditional community tokens or points often lack liquidity, have opaque pricing, and are hard to use as general payment instruments. Flipcash's design makes community currencies tradable and spendable from day one, lowering the barrier to creation and circulation.

In the past six months, Flipcash officially launched USDF on May 20, 2026, marking the first commercial deployment of Coinbase's stablecoin-as-a-service platform. It also demonstrates Solana's suitability for payment use cases due to low fees and high throughput. Currently, USDF circulates mainly within the Flipcash app and is not yet listed on public crypto exchanges.

No major negative information was found.

In 2023, Flipcash (formerly Code) was officially established, inheriting previous explorations in cryptocurrency payments.

In February 2024, it completed a $6.5 million seed round, supported by well-known VCs, laying the foundation for product development.

On June 10, 2025, Flipcash was officially launched, built on the Solana blockchain, using USDC stablecoin, enabling instant, zero-fee transfers.

Key progress in the past six months: On May 20, 2026, Flipcash partnered with Coinbase to launch USDF, a Solana-based stablecoin fully backed 1:1 by USDC and issued via Coinbase's Custom Stablecoin platform, serving as the settlement and liquidity layer for all community currencies on the platform. The Reserve contract went live on Solana mainnet the same month and was audited by Sec3; each currency has a fixed supply of 21 million coins, priced on a deterministic bonding curve starting at $0.01, with guaranteed buyback/sale into USDF from day one, without relying on market makers or order books. Flipcash positions its currencies as immediately usable cash: send, spend, tip, and swap between currencies.

Official future focus: continue building on USDF as the base layer to realize a "future with many currencies"; scale incentives tied to circulating supply; natively integrate Coinbase Onramp to simplify fiat on/off ramps; and use the Reserve contract to provide trustless liquidity, enabling communities and brands to issue their own digital cash in one click, extending the USDF model to more ecosystem use cases.
