About Figure Markets
Figure Markets is a digital asset platform combining cryptocurrency trading, stock trading, and alternative investments. Its core business includes spot crypto trading, US stock trading, and access to private credit products such as real-world asset (RWA) pools. The platform's key differentiator is self-custody via multi-party computation (MPC) wallets, allowing users to retain full control of their assets while trading. It also offers a yield-bearing stablecoin (YLDS) and crypto-backed loans, bridging traditional finance and decentralized finance.
The market pain points it addresses include the lack of self-custody options on centralized exchanges, the complexity of accessing tokenized real-world assets, and the need for compliant trading venues. By combining regulated securities trading with crypto and RWA exposure, it aims to serve users seeking both innovation and regulatory clarity.
In the past six months (March 2026 to September 2026), Figure Markets has expanded its stock trading offerings, increased the number of supported crypto pairs, and grown its YLDS stablecoin supply. It also enhanced its MPC wallet infrastructure to support more assets and improved its lending products. However, the platform faced scrutiny over the regulatory classification of its yield-bearing stablecoin, which was clarified as a security, and experienced minor service interruptions during periods of high market volatility. Overall, it has continued to position itself as a compliant, self-custody gateway for diversified digital asset investing.
Figure Markets, as the blockchain asset trading subsidiary of Figure Technologies, builds on the parent company's expertise in tokenizing real-world assets. Key milestones include: spinning off as an independent entity in March 2024 and completing a $60 million Series A round led by Pantera Capital, establishing its positioning as a decentralized custody exchange and private market platform; and launching YLDS on February 20, 2025, the first SEC-registered yield-bearing stablecoin that accrues interest daily based on SOFR, marking a breakthrough in combining compliant stablecoins with on-chain yield. Earlier, Figure had processed over $41 billion in real-world asset transactions on the Provenance blockchain, laying the infrastructure for Figure Markets.
Figure Markets (NASDAQ: FIGR) has seen major growth in H1 2026. Q2 net revenue reached $226M, up 113% YoY, with net income of $87M (+192%). Consumer Loan Marketplace volume hit $4.3B, a 132% increase, driven by Figure Connect ($2.8B, 65% of volume). The company added 102 origination partners, totaling 489. In July, weekly loan applications crossed $1B. YLDS stablecoin circulation grew to $556M from $328M at end-2025. Figure Markets Exchange saw a 15.2% deposit surge on July 23, with $1.8B in total assets. The $717M acquisition of Kiavi is on track for H2 2026 closing, expanding into real estate lending. Future focus: Q3 guidance of $4.8-5.2B marketplace volume, scaling blockchain-based loan origination, and growing Democratized Prime borrowing ($170M as of Aug 6).
