About Fidelity Digital Assets
Fidelity Digital Assets is Fidelity's institutional digital asset platform, established in 2018 and serving clients from 2019 with custody, trade execution and round-the-clock support for hedge funds, family offices and registered investment advisers. Custody and trading sit in one account structure, private keys are held by the platform, and settlement and compliance follow the risk framework of traditional asset management.
On 4 February 2026 Fidelity issued its first stablecoin, Fidelity Digital Dollar, issued by Fidelity Digital Assets, N.A. It is pegged 1:1 to the US dollar, backed by cash and US Treasuries held at Bank of New York Mellon, with circulating supply and reserve net asset value disclosed every business day and monthly reserve reports examined by PwC under AICPA attestation standards; it transfers on Ethereum mainnet and trades on Bullish and Kraken. In July and August 2026 Fidelity amended the FETH registration to allow staking of up to 100% of its ETH, with Fidelity Digital Assets remaining custodian, Anchorage Digital and BitGo as co-custodians, Blockdaemon, Figment and Galaxy proposed as node operators, and the fund retaining 85% of staking rewards.
Fidelity Digital Assets issued its first stablecoin, Fidelity Digital Dollar (FIDD), on 4 February 2026, pegged 1:1 to the US dollar and backed by cash and US Treasuries held at Bank of New York Mellon, managed by FMR and attested monthly by PwC.
FIDD can be bought and redeemed at US$1 through Fidelity Digital Assets, Fidelity Crypto and Fidelity Crypto for Wealth Managers, is listed on Bullish and Kraken, and can be transferred to any Ethereum mainnet address; circulating supply and reserve NAV are disclosed every business day.
Fidelity Digital Assets next plans more exchange listings and compliant on-chain use cases spanning settlement, capital movement and tokenised asset trading, with daily reserve disclosure maintained.
