About ELabs
ELabs is an Asia-Pacific-focused Web3 growth accelerator. Based on its official website and X account, it positions itself around project incubation, community growth, KOL marketing, and node sales. Its core narrative is to help blockchain projects achieve cold-start and user acquisition in Chinese-speaking and broader Asia-Pacific communities, addressing the pain point that projects often have technology but lack localized operations. For users, it tries to act as a trust bridge between projects and communities, though the actual outcome depends on whether the project follows its own rules.
In 2024, ELabs publicly accused the Aethir project of changing lock-up rules after selling nodes. ELabs claimed that buyers were promised roughly a four-month payback period, but after the token generation event, the rules were changed and the payback period stretched to four years. It also said the airdrop ratio was altered before TGE, node users initially received almost no airdrop, and after negotiation they were offered only about $30. ELabs stated that it acted as a partner institution without charging marketing fees, but lost about 500,000 RMB from purchasing nodes, and went public after a month of unsuccessful private communication. This incident highlighted problems in the Web3 model of selling nodes plus issuing tokens, including opaque rules and difficulty for users to defend their rights, and it weakened market trust in node-sale projects.
In the past six months (March to September 2026), apart from its existing business presentation, no verifiable major public progress from ELabs was found. Its public image remains largely tied to the dispute described above.
