About Dora Factory
Dora Factory is governance infrastructure for DAOs and open-source communities, offering quadratic funding, MACI private voting, grant protocols and onchain identity components. Voting and quota distribution initially ran on Dora Vota, an application chain in the Polkadot ecosystem, with contracts also deployed on Ethereum and BNB Chain. MACI encrypts ballots and has a coordinator aggregate them with zero-knowledge proofs, so votes stay hidden while the tally is verifiable, dampening vote buying and retaliation. Rounds distribute quotas, matching funds follow the vote distribution, and grants release against milestones.
It shares quota and settlement tooling with DoraHacks hackathons and grant rounds, letting a project move prize money and follow-on funding straight into a quadratic matching pool. MACI moved into larger-scale use in late April 2026, and the second-quarter hackathon reward pool was about USD 1.1 million. MACI outcomes assume the coordinator colludes with no one, making key management and collusion resistance the main operational burden.
Key developments: On April 27 DoraHacks announced a $1.1 million hackathon reward pool for Q2 2026, with part of the participation rewards settled in DORA; its MACI privacy-voting stack moved into large-scale application in late April, and the token rallied on heavy volume on April 28.
Supply and price: The token is 100% unlocked with no further vesting pressure; on October 7 it rose 37% in a day and 180.6% over seven days, with market cap near $2.03 million and price around $0.0034.
Eric Zhang — Founder & Architect; started hacker community DoraHacks in 2014 and serves as its CEO; former Executive President of the TrueChain Foundation; incubated Dora Factory in 2021 as decentralized governance infrastructure.
