About D8X
D8X is a perpetual futures protocol for EVM networks, deployed on Polygon zkEVM and X Layer among others since 2022, using off-chain matching with on-chain settlement. Limit and market orders hit an off-chain order book first, then margin checks, position records and transfers settle in on-chain contracts while assets stay in the user's own wallet. A single shared liquidity pool acts as counterparty across all markets, so an LP deposits one collateral asset and earns fees from every market; pricing comes from pull-based Pyth quotes and D8X's own ODIN feed, with a commit-then-execute flow against front-running, tiered maintenance margin curves for partial liquidations, and auto-deleveraging in extreme conditions.
The protocol also sells white-label capacity, letting projects stand up their own branded perp venue on the same SDK, front-end components and depth. Matching happens off-chain, so sequencing and fill timing rest with the operator's engine, and users trust that engine for fair execution.
In 2026, D8X rolled out its decentralized perpetuals protocol to Polygon zkEVM, X Layer, and Arbitrum, going live in January, May, and June respectively. On September 24, 2026, D8X launched five leveraged order-book markets on those three chains built on Polymarket prediction markets, combining forecast outcomes with perpetual trading to give traders hedging and speculative tools around real-world events.
Future strategy and roadmap: D8X plans to keep expanding its multi-chain perpetuals coverage, introduce more leveraged markets based on real-world events and prediction data, and optimize the capital efficiency and liquidation mechanics of its non-custodial trading framework, aiming to become the infrastructure layer for cross-chain derivatives.
