About Coral

Coral is a decentralized infrastructure protocol built on Solana, focused on enabling AI agents to communicate, coordinate, and transact with each other. Its core business is providing an open "Internet of Agents" layer where developers can build multi-agent systems that combine specialized AI agents from different frameworks into unified applications. The V1 release introduced remotely deployable production-grade agents that can be rented, customized, and integrated with local environments, along with an agent marketplace where developers earn automatically each time their agent is invoked.

Coral's core value proposition is solving AI agent interoperability. Currently, the AI industry is dominated by centralized companies, and multi-agent systems face high infrastructure overhead, poor interoperability, and a lack of communication standards. Coral addresses these issues through standardized message formats, modular coordination mechanisms, and secure team formation features. In the GAIA benchmark, Coral's protocol demonstrated a 34% performance improvement, validating its approach.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), Coral has been actively developing its ecosystem. The protocol launched its first hackathon with over 3,000 developers submitting more than 130 applications, showcasing use cases in content creation, healthcare, DeFi, and other fields. Notable applications included Allaboard, an orchestration agent for job candidate research, and Buffalos AI, which tests new AI-generated applications. Coral also announced post-hack bounties to encourage developers to continue growing their applications. Development during this period focused on Coral Session Contracts for on-chain agent task coordination, Coral Local Server, and Agent Mesh Tooling, with integrations planned for frameworks like LangChain and AutoGen.

However, the CORAL token has experienced significant price volatility. From an all-time high of approximately $0.003474 in May 2025, the price dropped to around $0.0000747 by August 2026, representing a decline of over 97%. The market capitalization stood at approximately $745,000 with a circulating supply of 8.55 billion tokens out of a total supply of 10 billion. This substantial price decline reflects the broader challenges facing early-stage AI and blockchain projects, including uncertain market acceptance and the speculative nature of the sector.

As a core developer in the Solana ecosystem, Coral's milestones with long-term significance include:

First, the creation of the Anchor framework. Anchor became the mainstream framework for Solana smart contract development, significantly lowering the barrier to entry by simplifying the programming model and providing secure templates, laying the infrastructure for Solana's explosive ecosystem growth.

Second, the launch of the Backpack wallet and the xNFT standard. Backpack introduced the concept of executable NFTs (xNFTs), upgrading the wallet from an asset storage tool to an application interaction platform. This led to a $20 million funding round led by FTX Ventures and Jump Crypto, driving innovation in Web3 application forms.

Coral, the Solana developer platform behind Anchor and Backpack, achieved key milestones in the past six months. On March 24, 2026, the BP token officially launched on Solana, marking a crucial step for its token ecosystem. Earlier, the company closed a VC round on February 9, 2026, reaching an estimated valuation of $1.05 billion with total funding of $37 million. The team continues to expand the Backpack wallet and exchange ecosystem while maintaining Anchor as the core framework for Solana smart contracts. Future development focuses on integrating BP token utility across the Backpack platform and advancing xNFT infrastructure for consumer crypto applications.
