Details

Coordinape is a decentralized contribution compensation and reputation protocol, originating from practices at Yearn Finance. It utilizes a 'Gift Circle' mechanism where organization members mutually allocate GIVE tokens each epoch to quantify the relative value of each other's contributions, replacing traditional top-down performance reviews. Organizations can create circles and set budgets; members observe contributions and distribute GIVE during the epoch, and after it concludes, they receive compensation from the budget proportional to the GIVE they received. This mechanism decentralizes compensation decisions to contributors themselves while accumulating verifiable on-chain reputation data, applicable to DAO governance, community incentives, and collaboration networks.
