From March to September 2026, Coinme's key progress: Polygon Labs agreed to acquire Coinme (pending regulatory approvals), with Coinme operating as a wholly owned subsidiary and its regulated fiat on/off-ramp infrastructure integrated into Polygon's Open Money Stack for bank → stablecoin → bank/cash via a single API. Coinme surpassed $1B in cumulative transaction volume, served over 1 million users, covered 50,000 retail locations across 48 U.S. states, and achieved profitability for the first time. In August, Laurent Reichert was appointed Chief Compliance Officer, Consumer Protection Officer, and BSA Officer to prepare for international licensed ramp expansion after the acquisition closes.
