About Coinchange
Coinchange is a DeFi asset risk management service that helps institutions and fintechs earn yield on digital assets through on-chain strategies. Its core business is deploying funds exclusively in decentralized protocols, avoiding direct lending to centralized counterparties. The platform offers daily liquidity, no lockups, and customizable risk-adjusted returns via a multi-strategy approach, including market-making, lending, and arbitrage.
Market pain points addressed: users often face high volatility, opaque risk, and operational complexity when seeking crypto yield. Coinchange mitigates these by using only audited DeFi protocols, maintaining on-chain transparency, and providing professional risk management. It also solves integration challenges through API-based access, allowing businesses to offer yield products without deep blockchain expertise.
In the past six months (Feb–Aug 2026), Coinchange has continued to operate its yield platform, emphasizing compliance with frameworks like FATF, MiCA, and SEC. It announced a partnership with Utila, an institutional wallet provider, to integrate its yield infrastructure into Utila’s custody workflows. No major negative events were reported during this period, though the broader DeFi sector faced occasional exploits elsewhere. Coinchange has maintained its stance of never lending user funds to centralized entities, a key differentiator in a market where some competitors have suffered losses.
Over the past six months, Coinchange has positioned itself as a key infrastructure layer for institutional crypto yield. The firm highlighted that stablecoin supply reached $317B in H1 2026, yet most assets remain idle, while derivatives volume hit 9.6x spot trading. Coinchange responded by expanding its multi-manager, multi-strategy yield portfolios, which allocate across CeFi delta-neutral, DeFi delta-neutral, and directional hedged sleeves.
Notably, Coinchange launched BTC Yield Portfolio tiers (Conservative and Balanced) with 60/25/15 and 45/15/15/15/5 allocations respectively, managed by its proprietary risk engine. The firm emphasized compliance readiness ahead of the GENIUS Act's July 2026 deadline, though final rules were delayed. It also noted a $3.5B outflow from yield-bearing stablecoins like Ethena's sUSDe (-52%) and Sky's sUSDS (-16%), while regulated alternatives (BlackRock BUIDL, Circle USYC, Ondo USDY) grew.
Future roadmap focuses on: 1) deepening institutional-grade custody via Fireblocks/Copper, 2) expanding non-custodial vault offerings, 3) enhancing daily NAV transparency and T+5 liquidity, and 4) scaling API-first integration for fintechs and treasury teams. Coinchange targets 10-25% APY while maintaining regulatory alignment across EU, El Salvador, and Gibraltar.
