About Cambria

Cambria is a browser-based on-chain MMO that blends resource gathering, crafting, and combat reminiscent of RuneScape. Players can wager assets in high-stakes dungeon runs and duels, with the core narrative centered on "risk-to-earn" and player-driven economies.

The market pain points it addresses include the lack of true asset ownership in traditional games and the steep learning curve of many crypto games. Cambria lowers the entry barrier with modes like Dungeons as a first touchpoint, while adding depth through systems like Demonic Power, balancing accessibility and strategic gameplay.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), Cambria released patch v0.2.0, introducing the Demonic Power mechanic that alters risk assessment, adding regional servers (Poland, India, Central US) to reduce latency, and expanding content with strongboxes, new maps, abilities, and passives. Some older systems like Cursed Pact and Chest Keys were temporarily disabled for rework to improve balance. Overall, the game has focused on lowering barriers while deepening strategic layers and continuously expanding content.

Cambria, a browser-based crypto MMO inspired by RuneScape, began development in September 2022. Its first major milestone came in mid-2023 with the private alpha of Duel Arena on Base, where players wagered $14 million in ETH, proving onchain PvP viability. In early 2024, the game migrated to Blast, recording over 700,000 duels and $88 million in wagers within three months. July 2024 marked a $2.5 million seed round led by 1kx and BITKRAFT Ventures. September 2024 saw the Founder NFT collection launch on Ethereum, establishing the core community. October 2024 brought the Gold Rush Early Alpha, the first close-to-production MMO iteration. Season 1 launched in November 2024 on Ronin and Blast with a $1 million prize pool. February 2025 expanded to Abstract Chain for scalability. Season 2 in April 2025 introduced new economic roles and surpassed $1 million in player-funded prizes within six days. August 2025 saw the revamped Duel Arena exceed $35 million in volume. October 2025 launched the Islands NFT collection, which sold out in 3 minutes and raised $2 million in a strategic round led by BITKRAFT and Sky Mavis, supporting the persistent onchain world Crownlands. To date, Cambria has handled over $150 million in onchain volume.

Updated: Sep 13, 2026

Cambria's key progress over the past six months: 1) Dungeons entered invite-gated early access on Abstract on May 15, with $5M+ in Keys risked and 242K runs completed by August; 2) RSGP token TGE is targeted for August, alongside the Genesis mainnet launch and Gold Rush Season 4; 3) On August 28, snapshots were taken of four NFT collections (Founder, Cores, Companions, Arena Tokens), folding all utility into RSGP to create a single-asset ecosystem; 4) Lifetime onchain risked volume surpassed $160M, revenue exceeded $3M, and $4.5M was raised from BITKRAFT, 1kx, and others.

Future focus: Genesis will unite Dungeons, Islands, and Gold Rush into one persistent world; Hardcore Dungeons (PvPvE) will follow; Gold Rush shifts to macro-PvP extraction gameplay with raids & crafting, new regions, regional banking, and a combat overhaul; Islands will enhance guild/community features; RSGP serves as the ownership layer for governance, ve-staking, fee discounts, polling, and cosmetics.
