About BuildBear
BuildBear gives dApp teams private testnet sandboxes: a chain is forked from any block height of Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base and other EVM networks, with a faucet minting unlimited native and ERC-20 tokens, a block explorer and a transaction tracer. Developers can unlock accounts, send transactions from any address, mine blocks manually and shift timestamps to reproduce edge conditions, and sandbox state persists and can be forked again so a team shares one debugging environment.
It occupies the testing stage of the developer toolchain: teams run contracts, front end and backend against the sandbox before mainnet, with plugins standing in for Chainlink VRF, Gelato and Pimlico so external dependencies need no separate setup, avoiding public testnet queues and state pollution. More than 242,000 sandboxes have been created, with an average life of about 30 days. Coverage is limited to EVM-compatible chains, so Move, SVM and CosmWasm projects need their own local validators.
Through 2026, BuildBear kept offering private testnet sandboxes for dApp developers, adding support for Polygon Amoy and Arbitrum Sepolia and auto-generating code snippets for Web3.js, Ethers, Wagmi, and other libraries.
Future strategy and roadmap: BuildBear plans to expand the chains and tools covered by its EVM-compatible sandboxes and reduce friction in testing, debugging, and deployment.
