About Blockpit
Blockpit is an Austrian crypto tax and portfolio tracking platform founded in 2017 and headquartered in Linz, serving over 350,000 users and generating more than 1.2 million tax reports cumulatively. The pain point it addresses is that crypto assets scatter across dozens of exchanges and wallets while tax rules for gains, staking and mining differ by country, so manual organization cannot meet filing requirements; Blockpit's mechanism aggregates transactions into a unified ledger via API and CSV imports, applies separate rules for crypto, NFTs, derivatives and commodities, automatically computes capital gains, holding periods and staking income, and produces country-specific reports ready for submission or accountant review.
In the crypto tax tooling race, Blockpit acquired peer Accointing in 2023, has reports reviewed with KPMG, covers markets including Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Austria and France, and offers a Source of Funds report to prove asset origins to banks and exchanges. Portfolio tracking is unlimited and free, while tax reports are purchased per year by transaction volume tier. Country calculation frameworks are preset without custom adjustment, leaving limited flexibility for users filing across multiple jurisdictions or with unusual transaction structures.
On September 22, 2026, Blockpit shipped a product update that formally launched the Blockpit Plus subscription at 3.99 euros per month, or 47.90 euros billed annually, separating day-to-day portfolio tools from annual tax reports. The same release introduced a crypto Source of Funds report, described as an industry first, and single sign-on with Bitpanda.
On October 1 Blockpit published a guide to CARF and DAC8, noting that exchanges must collect user transaction data from January 1, 2026 and begin automatic exchange with tax authorities in 2027. The platform supports more than 700 integrations and tax rules for over 100 countries; reports are priced by transaction count, including a new 149-euro tier for up to 3,000 transactions.
Blockpit is expanding compliance products around automatic reporting and source-of-funds checks, and merging tax filing, portfolio analytics and bank-grade attestations into one annual compliance workflow.
