About Bitwage

Bitwage is a global payroll and freelance payments platform operating since 2014 that lets employers and individuals pay or receive wages partly or wholly in Bitcoin, Stablecoin or local fiat across nearly 200 countries. It addresses the pain point that cross-border payroll and contractor payments rely on slow, costly banking rails, making flexible crypto settlement hard for remote teams; Bitwage uses a non-custodial Custody architecture where funds are not held by the platform, and after an employer funds via wire or ACH the system handles currency conversion and delivers wages in each worker's chosen mix of BTC, Stablecoin or fiat to their bank or wallet. It also offers invoicing, expense and accounting automation.

In the ecosystem Bitwage sits between traditional payroll providers and pure on-chain payment apps, partnering with exchanges and stablecoin issuers to deliver compliant, auditable crypto wages, differentiating from single-rail crypto payment tools. Its non-custodial design lets companies pay global teams without holding or managing crypto themselves, while the platform handles fiat-to-crypto conversion and delivery. According to the platform, it has processed over $400 million in payroll with more than 90,000 registered workers.
