Details

BitTap is a non-custodial browser extension wallet based on the Taproot Assets protocol. It introduces a Bittapd service layer to decouple users from Tapd and LND nodes, eliminating the need for users to run their own nodes. Private keys are generated and stored entirely locally by the user; Bittapd only handles auxiliary operations such as transaction broadcasting, while signing always occurs on the user's wallet side. Its architecture balances decentralized security with usability, lowering the barrier for ordinary users to access Taproot Assets.
