About BCB Group

BCB Group is a crypto-focused payment services provider. Its core business is the BLINC network, a closed-loop settlement system that enables instant, 24/7/365 transfers between institutional clients in both fiat currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.) and stablecoins. The company also offers virtual IBANs for managing multiple customer accounts and a stablecoin yield product.

Their main value proposition is replacing fragmented legacy banking infrastructure with a single regulated platform. Traditional cross-border payments suffer from slow settlement times, high costs, and limited operating hours. BCB addresses this by providing a unified network where funds move directly between participants, reducing reliance on correspondent banks and pre-funded accounts.

In the past six months, BCB has continued expanding its regulatory footprint, receiving authorization in France as an E-Money Institution and Digital Assets Services Provider. The company also registered in Canada as a Foreign Money Service Business. These approvals support its stated goal of becoming a globally accessible payment infrastructure for digital asset firms and financial institutions.

BCB Group was founded in the UK in June 2017, driven by a vision to build financial infrastructure for the digital asset era. In July 2018, its subsidiary BCB Payments Limited was authorized by the UK FCA as a payment institution, establishing a regulated foundation for its services.

In March 2019, BCB Group completed a $1 million seed round. In July 2020, it launched BLINC, a real-time payment network supporting GBP, EUR, and CHF, enabling fee-free instant settlement among members. In March 2021, it raised $4.5 million in a strategic round co-led by North Island Ventures and Blockchain.com Ventures.

In January 2022, BCB Group closed a $60 million Series A round, the largest in the UK blockchain industry, with participation from Foundation Capital, Digital Currency Group, and others. In April 2024, it received authorization from the ACPR and AMF in France as an E-Money Institution and Digital Assets Service Provider.

By 2025, BLINC had processed over $200 billion in transaction volume, connecting more than 400 institutional clients and creating nearly 80,000 potential settlement links, solidifying BCB Group's position as a leading regulated crypto payment infrastructure provider.
