About Amina

AMINA Bank is a Swiss bank licensed and regulated by FINMA, offering digital asset services within a traditional banking framework. Its core business covers fiat and crypto payments, trading, custody, and staking, all accessible through a single account. The bank addresses a key market pain point: businesses and professional investors often struggle with fragmented systems, having to juggle separate platforms for crypto and traditional finance, which creates operational risk and inefficiency. AMINA solves this by providing a compliant, integrated platform where clients can manage both fiat and digital assets seamlessly. In the past six months (2026-02-28 to 2026-08-28), AMINA has continued to expand its service offerings, including enhancing its payment solutions with support for multiple fiat currencies and stablecoins, and strengthening its institutional-grade custody infrastructure. The bank has also been actively exploring strategic options to bolster its capital position, reflecting its commitment to long-term stability and growth in the evolving digital asset landscape. However, like many in the sector, AMINA faces challenges related to regulatory costs and the volatility of the crypto market, which require careful management.

AMINA Bank (formerly SEBA Bank) was founded in April 2018 in Zug, Switzerland, and obtained its Swiss FINMA banking and securities dealer license in August 2019, becoming one of the world's first fully regulated digital asset banks. In February 2022, its Abu Dhabi Global Market branch secured financial services permission, expanding into the Middle East. In November 2023, AMINA (Hong Kong) received Type 1, 4, and 9 licenses from the Hong Kong SFC, entering the Asian market. In October 2025, the Hong Kong Type 1 license was extended to digital asset dealing, enabling compliant crypto trading and custody. That same month, AMINA (Austria) obtained a CASP license from Austria's FMA under the MiCAR framework, becoming the first crypto banking group to secure a MiCA license and unlocking operations across 30+ European markets. AMINA has also pioneered compliant services globally: the first European bank to launch Ripple payments, the world's first licensed financial institution to offer SUI token trading and custody, and compliant staking for Polygon's POL token. These milestones mark AMINA's evolution from a Swiss domestic bank into a regulated digital asset bank spanning Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
