About Amadeus Protocol

In March 2024, Amadeus Protocol was created on GitHub, introducing the concept of "useful proof of work" that shifts blockchain PoW from hashing to AI inference, building nodes with Erlang, and positioning itself as a privacy settlement layer for AI agents.

In February 2026, it acquired Bitte, an AI frontend for agent finance, for $1.7 million paid in AMA tokens, strengthening cross-chain transaction and AI agent execution capabilities.

In August 2026, its GitHub stars surged by 1,415 in a single day to 4,469, marking a spike in community attention and validating the "thinking blockchain" narrative. These milestones show its path from technical validation to ecosystem integration and market recognition.

Updated: Sep 4, 2026

Over the past six months (2026-03-04 to 2026-09-04), Amadeus Protocol has made significant strides. Mainnet is live with 16k+ agents and 205M+ transactions processed, establishing a strong foundation for the confidential AI agent settlement layer. The acquisition of Bitte.ai was completed, with its user base, agents, and community integrated into the protocol, and social channels unified under @ama_protocol. Technically, the native settlement architecture is rolling out: agent settlement is atomic with execution, multi-party payment distribution is handled automatically via call-chain accounting, and TEE-backed privacy pools ensure data confidentiality while maintaining economic transparency. x402 payment rails and TEE privacy layers are scheduled for Q2 2026.

Future roadmap: Agent Studio and the ecosystem grants program launch in Q1 2026; x402 payment rails and TEE privacy layers follow in Q2. Native settlement features will continue rolling out through 2026, with a focus on enabling fluid agent collaborations, automated revenue distribution for developers, and single-transaction complex agent workflows. The protocol aims to become the economic primitive layer for the agent economy, with settlement as the starting point.
