Details

Acorne is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol designed to address the trust issues caused by the irreversible nature of blockchain transactions. It uses smart contracts to escrow funds, providing a secure two-party trading environment: the buyer's funds are locked in the contract, and after the seller delivers the goods or services, the buyer confirms the release of funds; in case of disputes, both parties can initiate a conflict resolution process handled by a decentralized arbitration mechanism. Acorne adopts an architecture separating the main contract (core security layer) from sub-contracts (specific business logic). The main contract manages fund escrow and arbitration execution, while sub-contracts can customize rules for different scenarios (e.g., e-commerce, freelancing, OTC trading) while reusing the main contract's security guarantees. This design enables scalability (sub-contracts can be flexibly deployed) and security (core logic is audited and immutable).
