About Accountable
Accountable is a trust layer for digital finance that provides real-time, privacy-preserving verification of assets and liabilities. Its core business helps institutions (such as exchanges, custodians, and stablecoin issuers) continuously prove solvency without exposing sensitive data like wallet addresses or trading strategies.
The main market pain point it addresses is the opacity and latency of traditional audits, which rely on periodic, static reports that can be outdated or manipulated. Accountable solves this by using cryptographic techniques—including zero-knowledge proofs, trusted execution environments, and zkTLS—to aggregate data from multiple sources (banks, exchanges, on-chain wallets) and generate verifiable proofs that can be checked by anyone in real time.
In the past six months (March to September 2026), Accountable has expanded its connector ecosystem to cover more than 100 data sources, including additional banks and custodians, and has strengthened its support for stablecoin solvency monitoring. The platform has also focused on improving the scalability of its proof generation to handle higher transaction volumes.
No significant negative events have been reported in the last two years, though the broader regulatory environment for cryptographic attestations remains uncertain. The project is distinct from other entities with similar names, such as accounting firms or unrelated blockchain projects.
Accountable was founded about two years ago as a trust infrastructure for digital finance, using privacy-preserving cryptography for real-time verification of assets and liabilities. In 2024, it completed a $2.3 million seed round, laying the groundwork for the Data Verification Network (DVN). In 2025, it raised $7.5 million in a round led by Pantera Capital, with participation from OKX Ventures, accelerating DVN and institutional product development. That year, DVN cumulatively verified over $1 billion in assets, with partners including Galaxy and Amber Group. Its core innovation, Proof of Solvency, addresses the gap in traditional Proof of Reserves by verifying both assets and liabilities, enabling continuous, cryptographically verifiable solvency through zero-knowledge proofs. In September 2025, it launched the YieldApp testnet, with mainnet planned for Q4, building the first verifiable yield market. These milestones mark the transition of real-time financial verification from concept to institutional adoption, providing a neutral trust layer for on-chain finance.
Accountable (digital finance trust layer) has made major strides in the past six months (2026-03-04 to 2026-09-04), based on official website, Twitter (@AccountableData), and related news:
In March 2026, Accountable launched Accountable NAV, an engine that independently verifies Net Asset Value (NAV) from underlying positions across onchain and offchain sources, using dual computation paths (balance-based and trade-by-trade) to reach consensus before publishing data. This addresses the need for real-time, verifiable asset valuation in DeFi.
Also in March, the company published its approach to protocol risk containment, detailing its Data Verification Network (DVN) that reads from source systems, generates cryptographic proofs, and publishes onchain values. The DVN includes circuit breakers that reject updates deviating from expected ranges, enhancing security.
In July 2026, Accountable introduced Proof of Solvency v2, upgrading its dashboards to link every data section directly to its sources, showing venue type, refresh frequency, and last update time. Individual assets now trace back to their originating connections, and onchain addresses include built-in block explorer links for independent verification.
Later in July, the K3 Capital x Galaxy lending vault went live on YieldApp, powered by Accountable's DVN. This onchain credit facility allows allocators to deposit AUSD (Agora's stablecoin) on Monad, with K3 Capital curating capital into a structured loan to Galaxy. Users can independently verify that deposited AUSD is deployed to Galaxy, track facility size and status, and monitor interest accruals and repayments.
Looking ahead, Accountable is developing a feature to query direct and indirect exposure of protocols to specific assets, enabling users to check whether a protocol has exposure to a given asset through downstream allocations. This aims to provide comprehensive risk transparency across the composable ecosystem.
