About ANyONe Protocol
ANyONe Protocol, formerly ATOR, is a decentralized privacy network in the DePIN category built on incentivized onion routing. Independent operators run relays worldwide, and traffic crosses three-hop circuits with layered encryption, so no single point learns both source and destination; wallets, dApps and institutions use it for private transport.
The mechanism is Proof-of-Uptime: the protocol probes relay liveness and delivered bandwidth continuously, pays against measured contribution and cuts rewards for high-latency, low-throughput nodes, turning uptime and bandwidth into a priced resource. Early versions depended on Tor directory services before moving to a self-built network. Relays deploy in Docker on amd64 and arm64 hardware, Raspberry Pi included, with dedicated appliances also offered. The network lists more than 22,000 registered relays, about 7,600 active relays, coverage across over 85 countries and above 69 GB/s of aggregate bandwidth; an SDK routes application requests through a private circuit in two lines of code. Anyone VPN shipped in August 2026, packaging the relay network as a privacy product for ordinary users.
Major progress: On September 5 the HyperBEAM prelive environment completed end-to-end validation of key operator flows (wallet connection, relay registration, staking and delegation, reward claims); Anyone VPN was approved on Google Play for Android. On September 8 the price jumped 31.82% in a day to $0.2107.
Incentives & market: A new relay rewards airdrop was completed on September 9; a Snapshot governance proposal on relay-operator voting power closed on July 30. ANYONE hit an all-time low of $0.04913 on August 11 before rebounding over 340%.
On September 16, 2026, Anyone Protocol opened a governance vote on the Protocol 28 upgrade, which includes a mainnet adapter component; a testnet adapter had been deployed on August 27 and passed end-to-end acceptance, and a security audit with remediation recommendations was completed on September 15. In the same period, Anyone VPN cleared Google Play review and launched on Android, letting users choose which apps are routed anonymously, while the LayerZero-based ANYONE contract was verified on Robinhood Chain. The team reports more than 7,500 active nodes, over 4,000 distinct locations, total bandwidth above 80 GB/s and more than 66,000 NPM installs of its SDK.
ANyONe Protocol's HyperBEAM migration has completed full-flow testing of wallet connection, relay registration, token locking, staking and delegation, reward claims and withdrawals, and is now in pre-live acceptance; the bandwidth-authority role was separated from directory servers to support more regions and server types.
ANyONe Protocol's Future strategy and roadmap: Next, the team plans to bring HyperBEAM to mainnet once the Protocol 28 vote passes, broaden the geographic spread of relays and scanners, extend ANYONE to more chains through the verified cross-chain contract, and expose per-app VPN routing to third-party applications.
