China Mobile: By 2027, computing power investment will exceed 100 billion yuan, and the number of gigawatt-level data centers will increase to 7

According to Caixin, Chen Zhongyue, Chairman of China Mobile, stated on November 6 at the 2026 Mobile Network Conference that the largest incremental investment for China Mobile in 2026 will be in computing power. This year, three gigawatt-level computing parks will be newly constructed, expected to deliver 1.5 gigawatts of capacity, and next year, two more will be built, bringing the total to seven gigawatt-level data parks.

Chen Zhongyue mentioned that China Mobile has established multiple ten-thousand-card intelligent computing clusters, and in the next two years, computing capacity will double continuously; by 2027, the total procurement amount is planned to be increased to over 500 billion yuan, with more than 100 billion yuan invested in computing power. In addition, China Mobile has currently set up six data centers overseas.
