Alpaca Middle East entity receives principle approval from Abu Dhabi FSRA

US licensed brokerage and tokenized stock infrastructure service provider Alpaca tweeted that its entity Alpaca Clearing & Custody ME Ltd (Alpaca Middle East) has received in-principle approval (IPA) from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) for its financial services license application.

After obtaining the financial services license, Alpaca Middle East plans to provide brokerage services and virtual asset custody services within the scope of the final approval from the FSRA. Alpaca stated that in-principle approval is not equivalent to a financial services license, and before obtaining the relevant license, Alpaca Middle East is not allowed to conduct regulated activities within or from the ADGM.
