U.S. SEC: For the first time, tokenization has been listed as a key risk review area for clearing agencies in fiscal year 2027

According to Unchained, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has, in its latest release of the 2027 fiscal year review focus document, for the first time listed tokenization as a high-risk review area for clearing agencies. The related documents for 2025 and 2026 did not mention tokenization.
