Financial Services Commission of South Korea: Will study allowing cryptocurrency exchanges to participate in the STO market

According to market news, the Financial Services Commission of South Korea stated that it will study a plan to allow cryptocurrency exchanges to participate in the Security Token Offering (STO) market, including issues such as market environment, investor protection, integration of licensing systems, and dual operating licenses.

The Chairman of the Financial Services Commission of South Korea, Lee Ik-hyeon, expressed support for the proposal to utilize existing exchange technology and trading infrastructure to develop the STO market, emphasizing the need to integrate the technology and trading infrastructure of existing exchanges into the token securities market.
