Uniswap v4 Aggregator Hooks launched: can wrap external liquidity into v4 pools
Uniswap Labs announced that Aggregator Hooks are now live, enabling aggregation functionality in Uniswap v4. This mechanism wraps external liquidity sources into v4 pools through Hooks, allowing any routing to treat them as Uniswap pools. It is currently available on the Uniswap web interface and API, covering Ethereum mainnet, Base, and Robinhood Chain, with more networks to be integrated soon.
On the first day of launch, it supports seven external sources, including Curve, Fluid, and PancakeSwap. Each block routing will pull the latest quotes from the integrated sources, constructing the optimal path between the Uniswap pool and external sources during exchanges, and completing settlements within a single transaction without the need for additional authorization. Uniswap stated that most on-chain liquidity is already on Uniswap, but new liquidity may still appear in other places. After external sources are incorporated into v4, exchanges routed through them will incur protocol fees, contributing to UNI burn.
