Samsung Electronics obtains blockchain patent in the United States, allowing phones to synchronize block data from nearby devices

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), a patent from Samsung Electronics titled "Electronic Devices and Their Operating Methods Providing Blockchain Service" was officially granted on October 20.

This technology allows electronic devices to identify nearby devices that support blockchain services through wireless signals, establish peer-to-peer connections, and select the device with the most recent data to complete blockchain synchronization by comparing the latest block heights stored on each device. This patent can reduce network traffic and energy consumption when devices synchronize block data.
