The 30-year mortgage rate in the United States rose to 7.4%

According to the Freddie Mac report, the average rate for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage in the United States was 7.4% for the week of October 8, the highest level since November 16, 2023, up from 7.28% the previous week.
