AAVE's former core member: If value structurally shifts from the DAO to private entities, it will weaken AAVE's competitiveness

AAVE's former core member Marc Zeller tweeted that the issue is not the existence of private companies. Private companies should indeed develop products. The problem arises when private entities unilaterally control the storefront and signage, while the DAO ecosystem is responsible for keeping the engine running, making the situation complex.
Marc stated that a significant portion of the "founding" talent and the most strategically important developers are now working independently within the DAO ecosystem. This is a key reason why Aave can continue to deliver, manage risks effectively, and consistently expand its market share across multiple cycles. If value structurally shifts from the DAO to private entities, it will lose key talent and weaken the ecosystem that makes Aave successful.
Additionally, he noted that there is often a misconception that service providers are "extracting" value. The reality is quite the opposite: service providers have a high alignment of interests with the token, and the cost of maintaining Aave DAO's professional execution is relatively low compared to the value being maintained and created.
