Market maker DWF Labs is suspected of suffering a $44 million cyber attack

According to Financefeeds, cryptocurrency market maker DWF Labs is suspected of suffering a $44 million cyber attack linked to the North Korean hacker group Lazarus.

Investigators revealed that the attack dates back to 2022, with the attackers using AppleJeus malware, a common cyber weapon employed by North Korean hacker organizations. The attack was carried out through phishing attacks disguised as trading software, gaining remote access to DWF's internal wallets and systems, and subsequently transferring funds through intermediary wallets and privacy mixers.
