Rene Reinsberg is a co-founder of Celo and currently President of the Celo Foundation. Celo's layer-1 blockchain is at the center of an ecosystem of technologies, organizations and individuals that all share a common mission of building a regenerative financial system that creates the conditions for prosperity for everyone. Previously, he co-founded Locu (aquired by GoDaddy). Rene started his career in global capital markets at Morgan Stanley and also worked at McKinsey, the World Bank, TechnoServe and General Catalyst. He holds graduate degrees from Germany's WHU and MIT.

He is also an MIT PhD alumni and a former Facebook Fellow and has previously worked at Google, Microsoft Research and Sun Labs.

Yida Gao

Yida Gao is a General Partner at Shima Capital. Also serves as a member of the Open Campus (EDU) committee,Previously, he was a General Partner at Divergence Digital Currency and Struck Capital. He was also a technology investor at NEA, one of the world's largest VC funds with over $20 billion in AUM. Before that, Yida was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group in New York City, where he helped execute deals worth a total of $15 billion. Yida graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science, and was a varsity pole vaulter. He attended Stanford GSB for a brief period before dropping out to join Struck Capital.

SJ Oh

Oh Seung Joon is a Co-Founder and COO of Pow.re, a position he has held on a full-time basis since November 2019. Prior to that, he worked as the Director and Head of Custody and Prime Sales at OSL, and as a VP Trader for 1 year and 8 months. He has also held positions as a Sales Trader at Morgan Stanley and CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets. Oh Seung Joon holds a BBA in Finance and Marketing from Korea University.

Arun Devabhaktuni

Arun Devabhaktuni is a professional with a background in systems biology, physics, and biology. He is currently a Lead Researcher at Mirana Ventures and an Angel Investor at Valhalla Capital. He has also served as the Chief Technical Officer and Co-Founder of ZenMaid Software. Arun has received a PhD in Systems Biology from Stanford University School of Medicine and a BS in Physics and Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Sung Cho is the co-founder and CEO of beoble , previously worked at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, and is a graduate of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Carnegie Mellon University.

Dan Elitzer

Dan Elitzer is co-founder at Nascent. Previously, Dan co-founded IDEO CoLab Ventures, a crypto-focused venture firm associated with the renowned design agency, IDEO. During that time, he also helped launch YAM Finance. Dan began his career in social enterprise and microfinance, working with both domestic social impact organizations and international development agencies. Dan earned an MBA from MIT Sloan, where he co-founded the MIT Bitcoin Club and MIT FinTech Club, and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Pomona College.

Ilya Veller is co-founder and CFO of Gear Technologies and has more than 20 years of experience working with high net worth individuals and global hedge funds at Renaissance Capital, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America. He is a graduate of New York University and Wisconsin Business School.

Theo Diamandis

Theo is pursuing an Electrical Engineering and Computer Science PhD at MIT, where he works on algorithms for and applications of mathematical optimization. These interests inevitably led to him being nerd sniped by Guillermo into working on crypto. When he’s not working on optimization solvers for DeFi-related applications, Theo can be found backpacking or skiing in the California Sierras.
