Matt Shapiro is a Partner at Multicoin Capital, where he works closely with limited partners, generates investment ideas, and manages daily responsibilities of due diligence, strategy, and negotiations as a senior member of the investment team. Prior to joining Multicoin Capital, he served as a Vice President in the investment banking group at Teneo, specializing in raising institutional capital around specific investment theses, management teams, and assets across a range of industries. During his time at Teneo, he focused on constructing transactions that aligned the interests of disparate parties while maximizing returns for all stakeholders. His experience around incentive structures attracted him to the underlying mechanics of cryptoassets and how they enable various parties to trustlessly engage in diverse and complex transactions. Matt is based in New York City and holds a degree in Finance and International Business from the University of Maryland.

Greg Xethalis

Greg Xethalis is General Counsel at Multicoin Capital. He was formerly a Partner at Chapman and Cutler LLP and Counsel at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP. He is a graduate of Fordham University Law School and Vanderbilt University.
