Dr. Johnny Ng Kit-chong has served as a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) since 2018 and was elected to the seventh Legislative Council of Hong Kong through the Election Committee constituency in 2021. Within the Legislative Council, he chairs the Subcommittee on Issues Relating to the Development of Web3 and Virtual Assets. In 1999, he founded Goldford Group, a global investment company focusing on fintech, Web3, and innovative investments. He also leads Web3Labs, a gateway for Web3 project incubation, acceleration, and investment. Dr. Ng holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and completed postdoctoral research at Tsinghua University in 2006, specializing in computer science and technology.
