Backyoung Heo is a finance and compliance veteran who twice served as CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb, from April to December 2018 and from May 2020 to May 2022. Earlier, he was Senior Vice President at Bithumb and CEO of Vaultrust, and he previously worked as Head of IT at ING Securities and as Manager of Information Security and IT Planning at Citi. He holds a bachelor's degree from Hongik University.
